Charming colonial-style oval platter made by Blue Ridge Southern Potteries of Erwin, Tennessee. Southern Potteries was known for their hand-painted underglaze patterns in cheery, whimsical themes such as flowers, fruit, and animals. They operated between 1920-1957.
The platter was estate-owned and is in good vintage condition. It has the typical pottery firing marks on the back. It does have a couple of small spots and production flaws, but overall it’s in nice shape.
It measures 11.75” x 8 7/8”.
